Keep Sweden Tidy is a non-profit that fights litter through campaigns and education. Every week, 35 million pieces of litter are dumped on the streets, a fact that the organisation wanted to highlight, as well as the solution: dump it in the bin.

In February, around Valentine's, the campaign Dumped launched with stop-motion “trash faces” made of litter from the streets of Stockholm. They appeared in parks, clubs, and other dumping hotspots, sharing their heartbreaking stories on TikTok, Meta, in a telly ad and in the streets.

The public was invited to share their own creations for a chance to win a Valentine’s-themed trash-picking date kit. On a small budget, the campaign achieved record TikTok engagement, reaching hundreds of thousands and spreading the message: dump the right way - in the bin.

With simple means, the campaign sparked new conversations and grew the following, leaving audiences asking for more.
